Obituary of Francis O'Reilly

Frank J. O’Reilly (February 2, 1932- May 24, 2020) Born County Meath, Ireland, Formally of Armonk, NY and most recently, Pearl River, NY.

Frank was 88 years old when he passed away of natural causes on Sunday, May 24, surrounded by family.He is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years Mary MacDonald O'Reilly. Their four children Aileen O’Reilly Hahn, Oonagh Catriona O’Reilly, Frank Donald O’Reilly, and Donald Alexander O’Reilly, their spouses, his son Stuart and 13 grandchildren. His siblings, James O’Reilly, Mai (O’Reilly) Whyte, Winifred (O’Reilly) Aranyos.His brothers Michael O’Reilly (decd.) and Eugene O’Reilly (decd.)

Frank lived an exciting life and traveled the world extensively as a young man. He worked in hospitality and opened and managed one of the finest exclusive clubs in the world located in NYC and closed the doors 40 years later. In that time, he entertained many U.S. Presidents and Heads of State.

Frank was a member of several organizations throughout his life. He was a 4th degree knight of the Auxiliary for the Knights of Columbus as an honorary life member. A Life member of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick in NYC and member of the Pan Am Historical Society. He was an international member of the Lyons Club. At the time of his demise, Frank held the rank of Commander with Star in the Knights of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. He was made a Papal Knight during the reign under Pope Benedict the 16th. 

There are many memories of the family spending time together. Some of the best of these were spent vacationing in Bridgton, Maine. The family continues the annual tradition which started in 1978. Beautiful memories for the entire family.
