Obituary of Christine L. Villardi
It is with a very heavy heart and tremendous sadness that we share with you the passing of our Mom, Christine Villardi. On Saturday, June 13th, she passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family and her cat. She now joins her husband Frank, her parents Anthony (Buddy) and Mary DeGregory, and many loved family members in heaven.
Christine was born on February 9, 1948 in New York City. She grew up with her loving parents in Washington Heights in Manhattan. She attended St. Elizabeth High School. She married the love of her life, Frank Villardi on March 30, 1974. Together they started a family in Blauvelt, New York.
First and foremost, she loved her children and grandchildren as they were what kept her going and put a smile on her face. She would do anything for them and always put them first. Christine loved nothing more than spending time with her family. She also enjoyed taking trips to the beach, having her feet in the sand, the sun on her face, listening the waves crash, looking for seashells, and the seagulls flying above. Additionally, she adored her pets and loved to care for them. During her spare time, she liked to garden and had the most beautiful dahlias, sunflowers, and roses anyone has ever seen. She also liked to plant basil, tomatoes, and more. Christine loved roller coasters and going on rides, which she had passed down to her children. She liked to listen to Country music, Rock n Roll, and Irish music and has shared this love with her family.
Christine is survived by her daughter, Tina Kakascik and her son Frank Villardi, and wife Joanna. She loved nothing more than her five grandchildren Christina (age 9), Rachel (age 9), Madelyn (age 6), Frankie (age 6), and Giovanni (age 5). Christine also have many loving cousins and close friends that she loved so much. She will be missed here as part of our daily lives where her greatest joy was taking care of her family. She will be forever in our hearts and will continue to guide us through this life, until we meet again.
