Martin Schuetz passed away on December 13, 2020 after losing his battle to COVID-19. He was 65 years old.
Marty was born in Brooklyn NY on December 18th 1954. He married his wife Catherine who he adored in 1995. In 2005 he moved to Pomona NY. He adjusted to Suburban life but Brooklyn remained in his heart forever.
After owning his own tire shop in Brooklyn for over 25 years, he retired from the business when moving to Rockland. He then began working for Chestnut Ridge Transportation as a fueler. Marty was extremely dedicated to work and continued working past retirement till the end of his life.
Marty was a quiet man, known for his compassion and for always being an absolute gentlemen. He cared about his family and loved ones over himself. Even while in the hospital sick himself he just kept asking if everyone else was ok. His passing not only shocked us but left a tremendous hole in our hearts.
He is survived by his wife Catherine; daughter Stephanie; grandchildren Alexis, Adriana and Carter; his sisters Linda, Alicia, Carol and brother Ross along with many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents and brothers Stanley and Terry.
