Obituary of Salvatore E. Savino

Salvatore E. Savino, was born December 25, 1926 in San Mauro Forte, Italy, where he worked with his father as a butcher’s apprentice.

Salvatore married the love of his life Maria Di Fato in 1949 and had 4 children Giulio, Lucy, Antonio,and Rocco.  


Salvatore traveled Europe, working in places such as Switzerland and Germany; eventually moving to America in 1968 with his wife and daughter where he worked in the mail room for the investment and stock brokerage firm Paine Webber & Co, until his retirement in 1994. Salvatore was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending time with his family, which included, his wife Maria, daughter Lucy, son-in-law Ralph, his grandchildren Michael and his wife Donna and Anna, and his great-grandchildren Michael, Anthony, and Cristina.


Salvatore is predeceased by his mother Lucia Cirotto, his father Giulio Savino, his sons Rocco, Antonio, and Giulio, his wife Maria DiFato, his siblings Benito, Umberto, Mauro and Antonietta.

He is survived by his daughter Lucy and her husband Ralph, his grandchildren Anna, Michael and his wife Donna, and his great-grandchildren Michael, Anthony, and Cristina.
