Obituary of John Ciulla
John Ciulla, of Nanuet, NY, passed away peacefully at his home on June 15, 2021, surrounded by his family and friends.
John was born in The Bronx, NY on June 20, 1950 to Frank Ciulla and Frances Ciulla (Zampini).
John enlisted in the United States Marine Corps from September 11, 1967 to June 16, 1970. He served in the Vietnam War from June 16, 1968 to November 11, 1969 with the 11th Engineer Battalion, 3d Marine Division at Dong Ha in Khe Sanh
John married Linda Ciulla (Sangalli) on April 23, 1971. John worked as a Parts Manager for several auto dealerships throughout his career.
John volunteered for various organizations in the community including as President of The Nanuet Black and Gold Club for several years, and as a manager in the Challenger Little League.
John was well-known throughout New York’s Hudson Valley as a gifted drummer. He traveled near and far to play at Blues jams, any chance he could. He performed in several of his own bands over the past forty years, as well.
John is predeceased by his parents Frank and Frances Ciulla, brother Frank Ciulla, and sister AnnaMaria Tasaro (Ciulla).
John is survived by his wife Linda, sons John and Tony, daughter-in-laws, Ashleigh and Amy, grandchildren, Nolen, Aiden, Emily and Sadie and his brother Vincent Ciulla and sister-in-law Luz Ciulla.
